Nigeria’s Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is set to lead the World Trade Organization! She will become the first woman and the first African to take on the WTO leadership role. The World Trade Organization is an intergovernmental organization that is concerned with the regulation of international trade between nations.

The Harvard-educated development economist, was Nigeria’s first female finance and foreign Minister. She has a 25-year career in development economics and sits on board of directors of Standard Chartered Bank, Twitter, Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization, and the African Risk Capacity.
