Did you know Kanye West co-wrote and produced Alicia Key’s 2003 song ‘You Don’t Know My Name’?

During a VH1 Storytellers episode, Alicia said: “It was the first time that I ever worked with at the time a kind of relatively unknown guy named Kanye West.

“He was this really excited guy. He had this song out called ‘Through The Wire.’ He’s always been a super passionate guy.”

Whilst John Legend performed background vocals for the track, grammy award-winning Songwriter Harold Lilly also has writing and background vocal credits.
