Teaming up with Wolf Italian Street Food, two final year Nottingham Trent University students, Al Squires and Will Barratt have launched an inside speakeasy-style bar!
Located in Market Street underneath Wolf Italian Street Food restaurant, Code 34 is described as a new imaginative space with cocktails, beers, music and good vibes.
Before the Covid restrictions allowed in-door serving, Al, a soon-to-be International Business graduate and Will, a soon-to-be Business Management with Marketing graduate, launched Code 34 as a terrace bar outside Wolf Italian Street Food in April (2021).
Despite their university commitments, the pair’s launch was a great success.
Speaking to ITV after its opening, co-founder Al Squires stated: “That first day of opening we were stood out here wondering if anyone would come and it’s been absolutely rammed. We’re taking bookings. We’re full up this week now, and going forward the next few weeks.”
The business partners hope to open more pop up bars with other independent restaurants.
