There were many amazing moments at this year’s Oscars (2021)! One particular hilarious moment was when actor and comedian Lil Rel Howery quizzed Hollywood icon Glenn Glose about the 1988 song, ‘Da Butt’ – a song by E.U. from Spike Lee’s film “School Daze”.

To Lil Rel’s surprise, the 74-year-old star was able to display knowledge and give facts about the song! Surrounded by actors Daniel Kaluuya, Darrell Brit-Gibson and screenwriter Chris Terrio, Glenn Close even shocked the room when she was able to do ‘Da Butt’ dance!

Although the moment appeared to be completely spontaneous, Close took to Instagram after to explain that she knew she was going to be quizzed on the ‘Da Butt’ song. Her amazing table mates therefore helped her out with information and she watched the music video beforehand. However, it was still a surprise to Glenn, when Lil Rey asked if she knew how to do the dance! Despite the shock, she remembered the music video and did her thing!

Already best friends with screenwriter Chris Terrio, Glenn finished her Instagram caption with: “CONGRATULATIONS DANIEL on your BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR Oscar. You are completely brilliant. I now consider both Daniel and Darrell to be friends-for-life!”
