
An inspiration to many, Chloé Zhao became the first Chinese filmmaker and the second woman to win best director at the 2021 BAFTA awards!
She won for her movie Nomadland. Kathryn Bigelow became the first woman to win the award in 2010, for her movie The Hurt Locker.
Chloé’s film Nomadland also won awards for best film, best actress and best cinematography.
