The Rugrats are back for another adventure!

Nickelodeon announced that the original voice cast from the beloved animated series Rugrats reunited for an animated reboot that will premiere on Paramount Plus.

The CG-animated series will feature the original characters from the series, including Tommy Pickles, Chuckie Finster, Angelica Pickles, Susie Carmichael, Phil and Lil DeVille.

“Rugrats is one of the most iconic cartoons recognized by fans around the globe, and this original version is one we are taking great care and pride in creating for a brand-new audience,” Ramsey Naito, Nickelodeon Animation President said in a statement.

“Having the voice cast behind these special characters come together is one of the essential pieces to making the show recognizable and we can’t wait to watch this talented group bring them to life again.”

Rugrats debuted in 1991 and ran for nine seasons. The series produced three film releases: The Rugrats Movie, Rugrats in Paris: The Movie, and Rugrats Go Wild, which featured characters from the Nickelodeon series The Wild Thornberrys. In addition, a miniseries of four television specials Rugrats Pre-School Daze premiered in 2008.

The new CG-animated series will premiere in Summer 2021 on Paramount Plus.
