On a flight to Greece, two Louisiana State University medical students came to the aid of a fellow passenger who had fallen ill.

After the passenger collapsed due to low blood sugar and heat exhaustion, an announcement was made calling for the help of any health professionals. This led to medical students Heather Duplessis and Lauren Bagneris to come to the rescue.

In a statement, Heather Duplessis said: “We waited a second to make sure no actual medical professionals were around to respond.”

Heather and Lauren were able to calm the woman down, check her vitals and provide her with food and juice, whilst working with a medical professional on ground.

In a Facebook post, LSU Health Sciences Center stated: “The patient ended up feeling much better thanks to these two talented doctors in the making and their LSU medical education. Way to Geaux Tigers! You do us proud.”

We wish them a successful path ahead!
