GUBA Careers has launched a new internship program for people in the Diaspora looking to gain employment in Ghana! The initiative aims to provide a career and lifestyle bridge between the Ghanaian Diaspora and the West African country.

The program is an extended version of ‘The Diasporan Transition,’ which allows people of the Diaspora to connect with others who have relocated to and from Ghana. In addition, GUBA Careers connects potential employers with individuals that are looking for work in Ghana.

Many had expressed their desire to experience the Ghanaian workforce before permanently moving there, but had struggled to find the right company to help them. Now, they have the right resources to do so!

President of GUBA Enterprise, Dentaa Amoateng MBE had this to say about the internship: “This is a very significant and exciting initiative for the GUBA Careers and GUBA Enterprise in general, as we have received many queries over the years about internship programs of this nature.”

Stephanie Offei-Ntow, who was accepted into the internship program, worked for the law firm, CQ Legal.

“I reached out to the GUBA Careers team to assist me in obtaining legal work experience in Ghana,” she said, referring to her experience with the program. “With their help, I was able to secure work experience at CQ Legal & Consulting, an award-winning boutique law firm, and consulting firm based in Accra.”

“I was given a great opportunity to network, acquire a greater understanding of the Ghanaian legal system, and engage in high-quality work that provided me with credible experience,” she continued. “I will highly recommend reaching out to the GUBA Careers team, as their assistance has been invaluable.”

“Such an initiative will provide an experience of life and work in Ghana for the participants, prior to moving permanently,” she added. “We believe that this is the right time for such an initiative as many are looking to venture into new careers and frontiers in their potential relocation plans.”

This internship is set to resume in the third quarter of 2021. If you have an interest in joining the program, complete the survey at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WW63WW6
