On what appeared to be a normal morning at work, Juan Carlos Flores, an Amazon driver in Houston was delivering parcels when he noticed a car seat on the curb. As he walked closer, he saw a baby inside.
Speaking to ABC News, he said, “When I went close to the baby, I wanted to cry, because I said it’s impossible the baby can be here on the side of the street alone.”
Flores immediately alerted the neighbours. “I asked the neighbour if the baby belongs to them, they said, ‘What, are you kidding me?'”
Whilst the neighbour looked after the baby, Flores gave directions to the police who later informed him that there had been a car jacking.
“The police came, like 5 to 10 cars of police, with the mom crying, and they told me the baby was stolen with the car.”
Thankfully, the mother and 5-month-old were reunited.
Delivering thousands of parcels since starting his role as an Amazon driver at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, Juan Carlos Flores told ABC News that this was the best delivery he had ever made.
