The Prime Minister announced on Monday night (04/01/21) that people should stay home!

Due to the sharp rise in coronavirus cases and rapid transmission of the new strain, Johnson has said that schools will be closed from tomorrow (05/01/21), summer exams to be cancelled and people should work from home.

In his televised address, the PM said that all primary schools, secondary schools and colleges will move to remote learning, which could last until at least mid-February. However, there is an equal chance restrictions could last until March or even further.

Vulnerable people have also been told to shield again immediately.
