
The late Queen Elizabeth II passed away on Thursday 8 September at the age of 96. While she was known to the world as Britain’s longest-serving monarch, eight people knew her simply as “Granny”. Here are the Queen’s eight grandchildren from oldest to youngest.
Peter Phillips

Peter Pillips is the eldest child of Princess Anne and her former husband Captain Mark Phillips. He was born in 1977 and is the father of daughters Savannah, 11, and Isla, ten.
He shares his two children with his former wife Autumn Kelly, who he was married to from 2008 to 2021.
Peter studied Sports Science at the University of Exeter and went on to work at Jaguar Racing. He now works as the managing director for a boutique sports management company called SEL UK.
Zara Tindall

Zara Tindall is Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips’s second and last child together. Zara was born in 1981 and is married to former rugby player Mike Tindall.
The pair, who have been married since 2011, share daughters Mia, eight, Lena, four and son Lucas, one.
Like her brother, Zara also attended the University of Exeter and obtained a degree in physiotherapy.
Zara is an accomplished equestrian and won a silver medal at the London 2012 Olympics. In 2020, she became the director at Cheltenham racecourse.
Prince William

Prince William is the third grandchild of the Queen. He was born to King Charles and the late Princess Diana in 1982.
He’s been married to Princess Catherine since 2011 and they share sons Prince George, eight, Prince Louis, four, and daughter Princess Charlotte, seven.
During his time at St Andrews University, the prince began a degree in History but switched to Geography.
Prince William is a working member of the royal family and an heir to the throne after his father King Charles.
Prince Harry

Prince Harry is the second and last child of King Charles and the late Princess Diana. He was born in 1984 and has been married to former actress Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex since 2018.
The pair share son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, three, and daughter Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, one.
Instead of going to university, Prince Harry did officer commissioning training at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
He is now Chief Impact Officer at BetterUp – a mental health and coaching startup. Prince Harry currently lives in the United States with his wife and children after stepping down from royal duties.
Princess Beatrice

Princess Beatrice is the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and his former wife Sarah, Duchess of York. She was born in 1988 and has been married to property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi since 2020.
The couple are the proud parents of their daughter Sienna Elizabeth, one.
Princess Beatrice went to went to Goldsmiths, University of London and obtained a bachelor’s degree in history.
According to Hello! Magazine, the royal works as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at software company Afiniti.
Princess Eugenie

Princess Eugenie is the last child and daughter of Prince Andrew and his former wife Sarah, Duchess of York. She was born in 1990 and has been married to Jack Brooksbank since 2018.
The couple share their one year old son August Philip.
Princess Eugenie studied a combined Honours BA in English Literature, History of Art and Politics at Newcastle University.
She reportedly works as an associate director at London art gallery Hauser & Wirth.
Lady Louise Windsor

Lady Louise Windsor is the daughter of Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Forfar.
She was born in 2003 and is currently studying English at the University of St Andrews.
James, Viscount Severn

James, Viscount Severn was born in 2007 and is the second and youngest child of Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Forfar.
