Giving the award speech, Charlene White said: “For anyone that doesn’t know, it was this episode – it was the black Loose Ladies doing something which has never done before and it meant the world to us. It meant the world to our viewers who without them, we wouldn’t be us. So one thing I would like everybody in the industry to know, is when you nurture, when you grow and when you trust your diversity talent, anything is possible and we can be sat here in our living rooms collecting an award for Best Daytime and it honestly means the absolute world to us! So big up to everyone at ITV!”
