Alicia Keys has revealed that Jay Z asked her to re-record her vocals for their ‘Empire State Of Mind’ song.

The music artist, 40, is the latest guest to appear on the Drink Champs podcast.

Speaking about her 2009 ‘Empire State Of Mind’ song with Jay Z, Alicia revealed that Jay asked her to re-record her vocals due to him not liking the sound.

Alicia and Jay were both born and raised in New York and therefore celebrated their city in their classic song, ‘Empire State Of Mind’.
