
An amazing run indeed, Jon Snow has announced he will be leaving his position as Channel 4 News anchor after 32 years!
The multi-award winning journalist will be stepping down on the 31st of December 2021.
Jon has worked at ITN for 45 years and will leave the programme as ‘the longest-serving presenter in the show’s history.’
The 73-year-old will still continue to work with Channel 4 in 2022.
In a statement, he said: “After three incredible decades on Channel 4 News, it is time to move on. I am excited by many things I want to accomplish but I have to say I have enjoyed every minute of my time with the programme.”
In March (2021), Jon Snow and his wife Dr Precious Lunga welcomed a baby boy via surrogate.
