If you were able to watch the Inauguration Day, you’ll know what we mean when we say how beautiful and harmonious it was.
With powerful performances by Katy Perry, John Legend, Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake and more, the event marked a beautiful day of hope and togetherness.
One particular special moment of the inaugural concert was when former presidents, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama stood in unity as they spoke to the citizens of the United States.
Speaking about the meaning of an inauguration, Obama said, “I think inaugurations signal a tradition of a peaceful transfer of power that is over two centuries old.”
Bush added,”I think the fact that the three of us are standing here talking about a peaceful transfer of power speaks to institutional integrity of our country.’ He later said, “I think if Americans would love their neighbour like they would like to be loved themselves, a lot of the division in our society would end.”
Obama, who Biden used to be the Vice President for, stated, “We gotta not just listen to folks we agree with, but listen to folks we don’t.”
Clinton said that the moment reflected a new beginning and he called for people to get off their high horses and reach out to their friends and neighbours.
Each of them also took the time to send their personal well-wishes to President Joe Biden.
