Actor and pastor Jimmy Odukoya is remembering his late mother.

On Wednesday, Dec. 10, the senior pastor of the Fountain of Life Church paid tribute to his mother Pastor Bimbo Odukoye on the 20th anniversary of her passing.

“Hey Mum …,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself and his mother on Instagram. “Today marks 20 years since you’ve been gone …  Where did the time go?” 
“One thing is for sure; I have carried you everyday with me since God took you home…,” he continued. “Your rings stay close to my heart and I remember with every beat that I miss you…”
He added, “A lot has happened since you been gone .. Guess what?! You sure were right! I did end up becoming a Pastor 😄😄..”
“The whole time I thought you were crazy but I guess the joke is on me! You would love your grandkids! They know all about “HeavenGrandma” that I made sure of!,” he said. “Know that I’m carrying on your legacy, hope I’m making you proud..”
He then concluded, “Love you mum! Now and always .. P.s . Say hi to Dad for me 😉 #PastorBimboOdukoya#Gonebutneverforgotten #Legendsneverdie #Dec10.”

Pastor Bimbo died at the age of 45 from injuries sustained in a plane crash in Port Harcourt, Nigeria in 2005.

In addition to her son, she shared daughters Tolu Odukoya Ijogun and Tobi Martins Odukoya with her husband, the late Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.

Following the death of Pastor Taiwo in August 2023, Pastor Jimmy stepped into leadership at the Fountain of Life Church, which his father founded in 1992.

Tolu Odukoya Ijogun also serves as Associate Senior Pastor at the church.
