With all that’s going on in the world, we love to hear stories that remind us of the good of humanity. So when we heard an act of generosity from a surprising source, we knew we just had to shine a light on it.

In a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spoke about their journey from being senior members of the British Royal Family to leaving their positions and making a new start in California. Although it was an intense conversation filled with many heartbreaking moments, the interview consisted of a moment that acted as a reminder of the beauty in this world.

Due to stepping down from their senior roles, the couple explained that their security was removed from them after relocating to Canada in 2020. As this was during the coronavirus outbreak, they knew they had to act fast for their safety.

In the interview, Harry stated, “The biggest concern was while we were in Canada, in someone else’s house, I then got told, (at) short notice, that security was going to be removed.

“So suddenly it dawned on me, ‘Hang on, the borders could be closed, we’re going to have our security removed, who knows how long lockdown is going to be, the world knows where we are, it’s not safe, it’s not secure, we probably need to get out of here.”

This is when Tyler Perry comes into the story!

Surprising viewers, Meghan and Harry revealed that their friend and US mogul Tyler Perry offered them his home in Southern California. Along with their son Archie, they were also given security by Perry.

Known for his TV shows and movies, filmmaker Tyler Perry became a billionaire last year (2020). In 2015, the 51-year-old also built a 330-acre movie studios in the heart of Atlanta. Tyler Perry Studios is one of the largest production facilities in the United States.

Speaking of Tyler’s helping hand, Meghan stated: “It gave us breathing room to try to figure out what we were going to do.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stayed in Perry’s house for three months before buying and moving into their own home in California.

Tyler Perry’s act of generosity is definitely one we can all learn from.
