One thing we are all happy about, is that Christian Eriksen is alive today!

In a traumatic match, the world saw when the Danish player suffered a cardiac arrest and had to be given CPR. His amazing teammates rapidly rushed to his side to put him in a safe position before the medical team and the rest of the staff got to where he was. The team then surrounded him to prevent the cameras from showing him.

Unifying together, Finland fans began to chant “Christian” whilst the Denmark fans replied by shouting “Eriksen”. When Christian’s partner and mother of his two children Sabrina arrived on the pitch, Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and captain Simon Kjaer ran to comfort her letting her know that Christian had been successfully resuscitated.

Releasing a public statement through his agent, Christian said:”Thank you, I won’t give up. I feel better now – but I want to understand what’s happened. I want to say thank you all for what you did for me.”

We wish Christian a complete recovery.
