Marvel Studios Reveal Official Release Date For ‘Black Panther’ Sequel And Other Marvel Movies

The cherished Black Panther’s words: “Wakanda Forever” – a slogan Black Panther fans hold dear to their hearts.

Marvel Studios have released a mega-trailer, kicking off Phase 4 of all their iconic motion pictures. In the official reveal, Black Panther’s sequel, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘ is set to be released July 8th 2022.

In 2018, Black Panther surpassed $1 billion at the box office in just 24 days of its release. The late Chadwick Boseman played the moving role of King T’Challa, winning the hearts of many. Chadwick sadly passed away in 2020.

According to Insider, Kevin Feige (president of Marvel Studios) said the role of ‘King T’Challa’ will not be recasted.

Feige stated, “Chadwick Boseman was an immensely talented actor and an inspirational individual who affected all of our lives professionally and personally.

“His portrayal of T’Challa (and) the Black Panther is iconic and transcends any iteration of the character in any other medium from Marvel’s past. And it is for that reason that we will not recast the character.”

It’s been reported that the sequel will pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman.

Marvel Studios has also announced the released dates for other Marvel movies.

  • Eternals (November 5th, 2021)
  • Spider-Man: No Way Home (December 17th, 2021)

  • Thor: Love and Thunder (May 6th, 2022)
  • The Marvels (November 11th, 2022)
  • Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania (February 17th, 2023)
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 5th, 2023)
