Heekyoung Jin wins £3.5m home in competition raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, where her son was a patient

A mother of a former patient of Great Ormond Street Hospital has won a £3.5m home after entering a competition that raises money for the charity.

Heekyoung Jin and her partner Tom Hall’s son Lukas was 2 months when he underwent a life saving surgery after being diagnosed with a rare condition that resulted in a growth on his chest.

Entering the Omaze Million Pound House Draw, which raises money for many charities such as Cancer Research UK, NSPCC, British Heart Foundation and Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, demand and inventory analyst Heekyoung bought £25 worth of tickets in June.

The draw she entered is reported to have raised £500,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.

In a statement, Heekyoung said: “Great Ormond Street Hospital saved my child’s life, every single one of its staff were amazing. Thanks to them, Lukas is now a healthy and happy boy.

“We entered the Omaze Million Pound House Draw as the GOSH Charity is obviously very close to our hearts.”
